Bobbie Bridges Taylor

December 5, 1940 – October 17, 2026

Bobbie Lynn Taylor, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, love, and laughter.

Born on December 5, 1940, in Henderson, Texas, Bobbie lived a life filled with hard work, dedication, and a deep love for her family. In January 1959, she married James Vincent Taylor, and together they welcomed two children, Steve and Lisa. She spent her career working for M.K. Ferguson, a contractor at DuPont, where she devoted many years of dedicated service.

Bobbie was truly one of a kind. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick wit, and a special way of bringing laughter to those around her. She could always be counted on to provide a little comic relief, even when it was needed most. Above all else, Bobbie loved her family. Her daughter, grandsons, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and the memories they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Bobbie is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Taylor Hogan; her grandsons, Chase Hogan and his wife, Kenzie, and Taylor Hogan; and her two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hudson Hogan. She also leaves behind two very special lifelong friends, Mary Francis LeBouef and Judy Duhon Tuter, whose friendship and love meant so much to her throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ansel Thurber Bridges and Sybil McNeese Bridges; her beloved husband, J.V. Taylor; her son, Steve Taylor; and her mother-in-law, Mable Hardy Rost.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Focused Care and Altus Hospice Care for the kindness, comfort, and care shown to Bobbie during her final years. A very special thank-you goes to her favorite aide, Laurin, and her favorite nurse, Popy, for going above and beyond to make her feel loved and cared for. Their compassion will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chase Hogan, Taylor Hogan, Chad Hogan, Cade Covington, Chad Taylor, and Dawson Lampman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Taylor and Hudson Hogan.
