Cheryl Miller, 75, of Vidor, passed away Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care in Silsbee, Texas. Born in Norman, Oklahoma, her family moved to Nederland, Tx when she was young. She attended and graduated from Nederland High School. She lived in Vidor, Tx, most of her adult life, but also spent time with her sister, DonnaMoye, in Morristown, New Jersey, Richmond, Tx, and Crosby, Tx.

Cheryl was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked at the St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years while raising her three children with her husband, Larry Miller. She enjoyedoutdoor gardening, listeningto audiobooks, and cooking for family get-togethers. Cheryl hosted birthday parties for family members with homemade cards and desserts for the birthday boy or girl.For Thanksgiving, she would spendall day preparing dinner with help from the whole family. Christmas celebrations required the family to play multiple games of Pictionary, White Elephant, and Left, Right, Center with her as the scorekeeper and referee. She also enjoyed many sail boating trips around the Gulf of Americaand the Caribbean with her brother Kenneth “Bubba” Marrs.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Donald Newman and his wife Heather of Brookeland, Tx; Roxane Cogswell and her husband Gregory of Vidor, Tx; Christa McDowell and her husband James of Vidor, Tx; brother, Kenny Marrs and his partnerLori Shalter of Humble, Tx and sister, Donna Moye of Brenham, Texas; eight grandchildren, Quentin Whitmire and his wife Kalli of Vidor, Texas; Patricia Newman of Austin, Texas; Dalton Newman and his wife Carre of Beaumont, Tx; Garrison Whitmire and his partner Hannah Taylor of Vidor, Tx; Bailey McDowell of Conroe, Tx; Brady McDowell of Vidor, Tx; Caitlyn Buckner and her husband Kristian of Tennesse; and Cameron Cogswell of Florida; three great-grandchildren, Rosemarie Whitmire, Bexley Whitmire, and Emmylou Whitmire; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Miller, her parents, Donald and Catherine Marrs, and sister, Pam Davila.

She will be deeplymissed by her family, friends,and all who knew and loved her.
