Jean Dickerson, 48, born March 29, 1978, passed away surrounded by love after a brief illness on August 8, 2026. She will be remembered as a woman of remarkable warmth – a generous, loving, and kind spirit who drew people in wherever she went.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, August 14, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Gary McCormick. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 14, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

Jean was a devoted companion and caregiver to her beloved grandmother, “Gram,” whom she cared for with tireless love and patience. That same tenderness extended to every animal she met – Jean had a deep and abiding love for animals, and her loyal dog Tank, was a constant and cherished companion by her side.

Beyond her caregiving, Jean was a gifted and creative soul, expressing herself artistically across many platforms. Her creativity was woven into everything she touched, and those who knew her saw her artistry as an extension of her generous heart.

Jean is survived by her family: mother, Danya Jean Monceaux, and husband, Faron; brother, Clay R. Dickerson, and Bianca Moore; grandmother, Bonnie Jean Dickerson; niece and nephews, Katelyn, Devin, and Cruz Dickerson; and many other extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Jean is reunited in Heaven with her sweet great-grandmother, “Nannie” Mary Lou Stakes Robbins, whom she cherished dearly; her grandfather, John Dickerson; her uncles, Mike and David Dickerson; and her beloved pet, Charlotte.

Jean leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and love. She was loved by many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
