Priscilla "Pattie" Purcell, born on August 2, 1947, in DeQuincy, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, in Sugar Land, Texas.
Pattie lived a life marked by her love for structure and her unwavering joy. She was known for her kind spirit, never speaking ill of anyone. Her professional life was dedicated to education, where she taught athletics and spent many years as a special education teacher. She was deeply involved in her children's activities, always supporting their endeavors.
Even in retirement, Pattie remained active and engaged. She enjoyed exercising every day and found comfort and entertainment in Hallmark movies and romance novels. She also had a passion for baking. Pattie retired from Wal-Mart, concluding a diverse and fulfilling career.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jon Krahmer; her daughters, Kristy Johnson and husband, Earl Sr., Angela Acord and Don Ochs, and Tricia McDaniel and husband, Keith; Her grandchildren, Chris Johnson, Thomas Acord, Keith McDaniel, Timmy Acord, Corey McDaniel, Rodney Acord, and Kristina Johnson; multiple great grandchildren; her sisters, Betty Prior and Sue Jewel and husband, Eddie; daughter-in-law, Angel Purcell; additional family, Curt Olafson, Eric Krahmer, Doug Krahmer, Bill Krahmer and their families; multiple nephews and nieces; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryce and Dorothy Brown, Sr., her late husband, Rodney L. Purcell; her son, Bryan Purcell; her grandson, Earl Johnson, Jr.; and her brother, Kent Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, 800 Highland Dr, Bridge City, TX 7761. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, 800 Highland Dr, Bridge City, TX 7761.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Acord, Timmy Acord, Thomas Acord, Christopher Johnson, Corey McDaniel, Keith McDaniel III, and William Krahmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Johnson, Sr. and Keith McDaniel, Jr.
