Victoria Marie Wingate

Victoria Marie “Vickie” Wingate, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on January 1, 1955, in Orange, Texas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Anthony Paulose. Military Honors will be rendered by the Honor Guard immediately following the funeral service.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with a Vigil to begin at 6:00 p.m., with the Rosery to follow.

Victoria graduated from Lutcher Stark in 1974. Shortly thereafter, she embarked on a distinguished career with the United States Air Force, serving her country with dedication from 1974 to 1994. During her twenty years of service, Victoria excelled as a Computer Programmer and was a vital member of the OSI, specializing in counterintelligence. Her Air Force career took her all over the world.

Beyond her military service, Victoria was known for her generous and loving spirit. She was a very charitable person, always willing to lend a hand or offer support. Her kindness extended to her personal life, where she devoted many years to caring for an infirmed woman. Victoria found joy in the simple pleasures of life, enjoying needlepoint and cherishing her beloved animals. She was also a long-time and faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Victoria is lovingly remembered by her precious poodle, "Badness", and others. Siblings: Natalie West and Doyle, Andrew Wingate and Sheila, Susie Wingate and Larry Swiderski, Al Wingate and Debbie, Linda Wingate (Sister Mary of Joseph), Matt Wingate, Mary Wingate and Joseph Adreon, Julie Trapp and Chris, Barbara Holland and Shanawn, Peter Wingate and Joy, Ethan Wingate and Carrie, Spencer Wingate and Jennifer, and Olivia Wingate and Walter Johnson. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and a wide circle of friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and June Wingate, and her siblings, Quentin Wingate, Cecilia Wingate, Phillip Wingate, and Clayton Wingate.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Lopez, Shanawn Holland, Michael Wingate, Marc Wernig, Ben Wernig, Jon-Paul Wingate, Ethan Wingate, and Spencer Wingate.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
